Dismantle the COA application and transfer its functionality to a new, clearly defined business service. These business services are developed in accordance with current guidelines for the development of COBOL / CICS / DB2 software and on the basis of a service-oriented architecture. You draw up an innovative solution architecture and establish the requirements and frameworks. In addition, it is important that you maintain good contact about what is going on in the 4 construction teams, you are a sparring partner and you provide direction so that good solutions can be achieved together. You also contribute to the domain architecture for your sub-area.
COA is the accounts receivable administration of the tax authorities. A large, important but also old system that processes more than a billion euros a day. A few years ago, a start was made on the renewal of the COA. The ultimate goal is to dismantle the current COA and to transfer the functionality of the current system to new, clearly defined, business services.
These services are mainly developed in Cobol in accordance with the current guidelines (including SOA) for software development.
The COA product team consists of around 50 people spread over 5 agile teams of 7 to 9 people. In addition, a number of employees work cross-team. The working method within the teams is based on the SAFe approach. The layout of this is under development.
This application offers the experienced senior IT architect the opportunity to make an important contribution to the modernization of the COA.

Experience with testing Mainframe (CICS / Cobol / DB2) applications. This also requires knowledge of and experience with the application of JCL and SQL.
Test-carrying activities (in-depth knowledge of the basic principles of risk-oriented testing). Drafting test approach, preparation and reporting
Experience with working on large systems, for example with banks and / or government

Knowledge and experience in the application of Rexx and VisualBasic
Test automation, including a clear picture of how and why (why not), is highly desirable. Experience with Robot Framework or comparable tools
